Colombian nationality Baller came to the World as his parents’ first son. Luis is one of three siblings (all brothers and no sisters), born from a marital relationship between his parents. These are Luis Manuel Díaz and Silenis Marulanda, parents of Luis Diaz.

Adult years:

Luis Díaz spent his childhood years in his village in Barrancas, a town very close to a mining settlement. As a child, he ate goat meat for almost every meal. Luis Diaz’s family did not have a television. So he relied on his grandparents, who told him stories in the evenings.

The Colombian winger loved growing up in Barrancas with his younger siblings. Luis Diaz’s brothers are Roger David Diaz (nicknamed Roller) and Jësüs Manuel Dïäż. Both Diaz brothers (who also became professional soccer players) have a five-year age difference.

The place where Luis Diaz’s parents raised him is like many other poverty-stricken areas in Colombia. Barrancas is an often forgotten town. There, many families were abandoned by the state. As a result, malnutrition becomes one of their biggest problems.

Looking at the photo above, you will agree with me when I say that Luis Díaz is no stranger to malnutrition. This is the biggest problem his family and others face. Fortunately, football became a source of comfort and a means to escape poverty.

Luis Diaz’s early life with football:

The Winger spent his childhood days in two worlds – between football and fantasy. Luis Díaz has a habit of imitating things Ronaldinho – that he has seen on video. As he demonstrated it on his local field, Luis Diaz fantasized about becoming Ronaldinho.

He learned early on that not pushing himself the hardest wasn’t good enough. Diaz had to give everything so he could be the best. He likes to score the type of goals where he dodges some of the other team’s players and finishes in front of goal like a pro.
